Iran Targets Amazon Facility in Bahrain Following U.S. Assault on Nuclear Site
Kabarsaji.com – The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps of Iran has confirmed that it conducted an operation against an Amazon data center located in Bahrain. This military action serves as a direct response to American forces striking the Darkhovin Nuclear Power Plant construction zone.
Details of the Counterattack
According to an official declaration released on Tuesday, Iranian forces deployed multiple cruise missiles toward the infrastructure supporting one of Amazon’s primary data centers. The IRGC characterized this move as retribution for what it termed an American assault on the preceding day, which targeted both civilian neighborhoods and construction facilities within the Darkhovin area. Local reporting from ANTARA indicates that the bombardment inflicted considerable harm on the target.
News outlets had previously reported on Sunday, July 19, that American military units struck the nuclear power plant building site in Darkhovin City. The International Atomic Energy Agency confirmed it is currently examining the situation. Officials from the IAEA expressed uncertainty regarding whether the strike created any significant radiological hazards.
Escalating Tensions
On June 18, 2026, representatives from Tehran and Washington executed a memorandum designed to halt hostilities that commenced on February 28. Despite this agreement, American military operations against Iran have continued since July 8, 2026.
In response to ongoing American actions, the Iranian armed forces have conducted counterstrikes against various U.S. military installations across multiple Middle Eastern nations. Iranian authorities have formally accused the United States of breaching the established ceasefire terms.
Adding to the diplomatic complications, U.S. President Donald Trump announced on July 9 that the truce is no longer valid.
