How Long Will Pertalite Stocks Last – On July 16, 2026, PT Pertamina Patra Niaga, the commercial trading division of Indonesia’s state oil company Pertamina, confirmed that current fuel reserves are adequate to meet demand for 14 to 40 days nationwide. The statement was made during a meeting at the House of Representatives (DPR) building in Jakarta.

Stock Levels and Product Variations

The Downstream Oil and Gas Regulatory Agency (BPH Migas) reported that the country’s total stock of liquefied natural gas (LNG) and fuel stands at 3.61 million kiloliters. According to Taufik Aditiyawarman, the deputy CEO of Pertamina Patra Niaga, this amount remains within an optimal range.

“The duration varies due to product-specific differences, such as Pertalite and Biosolar, which currently maintain a 15-day supply on average,” Taufik stated.

Taufik also highlighted that distribution levels for several fuel products have exceeded typical consumption rates. Pertalite, the non-subsidized fuel, is being distributed at 104 percent of its average daily capacity, while diesel (Solar) has reached 105 percent this month.

Pertamina continues to track daily distribution activities and claims it has the capacity to sustain required volumes despite rising demand. Based on current projections, the company anticipates being able to meet public needs for the coming months.

Addressing Supply Chain Challenges

Taufik expressed optimism that existing stock levels will help reduce the long wait times at public refueling stations (SPBUs). However, he acknowledged that delays in logistics and the shift by some consumers from non-subsidized to subsidized fuels are contributing to congestion in Sumatra.

“We apologize for the inconvenience experienced by the public,” he said.

To ease the situation, Pertamina Patra Niaga plans to increase supply and improve distribution efficiency by expanding its transportation fleet. The company will also extend operating hours at SPBUs and supply depots to accommodate higher demand.
