KPK Eyes Supervisory Role in Febrie – Indonesia’s Anti-Corruption Commission (KPK) has confirmed its legal authority to oversee three corruption investigations involving Febrie Adriansyah. The cases were initially handled by the Indonesian Police’s Corruption Eradication Task Force (Kortastipidkor Polri), which later transferred them to the Attorney General’s Office. Febrie, who once held the position of Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes, is now a suspect in these matters.

Legal Framework for KPK’s Involvement

Speaking at the KPK headquarters in South Jakarta on Monday, July 13, 2026, spokesperson Budi Prasetyo emphasized the KPK’s role in coordinating and supervising anti-corruption efforts. “Our mandate under Law No. 19 of 2019 allows us to guide and monitor law enforcement agencies,” he explained.

“Formally, we will accept the transfer of handling these three cases, as a commitment to expedite the professional handling of the cases,” he said at the same forum.

Rudi also noted that coordination with the police will continue even after the cases are under Jampidsus’s jurisdiction. The KPK’s ongoing monitoring ensures transparency and accountability throughout the process.
