Maxim Indonesia Adjusts Commission Rates Amid Regulatory Changes
Maxim Adjusts Fares Following App Commission – Jakarta, TEMPO.CO — Maxim Indonesia, a leading ride-hailing company, has announced a new 8% flat commission rate for its two-wheel transportation services, effective July 1, 2026. This shift follows the introduction of a standardized app commission structure as mandated by recent government regulations.
About the Commission Change
The company’s Development Director, Dirhamsyah, stated in a written statement on June 29, 2026, that the adjustment aligns with Presidential Regulation Number 267 of 2026. He emphasized that the change ensures users continue to benefit from competitive pricing while providing drivers with a more stable income.
“We are maintaining affordable rates for users and ensuring driver partners can retain a larger portion of their earnings,” Dirhamsyah noted.
Previously, Maxim’s commission rates fluctuated between 8% and 15%, averaging around 12% across its operational areas. The new fixed rate of 8% is intended to simplify the financial model and enhance transparency for all stakeholders.
Details on YPSSI Program
Alongside the commission update, Maxim reiterated its commitment to protecting both drivers and users through the Safe and Prosperous Driver Foundation of Indonesia (YPSSI). This initiative aims to provide financial assistance in cases of accidents or other incidents during rides.
He further explained that YPSSI is a safeguard designed to compensate partners and passengers for unexpected events, reinforcing Maxim’s dedication to safety and reliability.
Dirhamsyah also mentioned that the lower commission rate should make the service more attractive to drivers, while keeping fares accessible for customers nationwide. The move reflects Maxim’s efforts to balance profitability with user affordability in the evolving ride-hailing landscape.
